Navigating through challenges and opposition to Christianity in various parts of the world, The Church of Pentecost still recorded an impressive 66,153 souls across 169 nations outside of Ghana, where it has presence, the previous year.
This was revealed today [Wednesday, May 1, 2024] in the State of the Church Address (SOCA) delivered by the Chairman of the Church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, at the opening session of the 18th Extraordinary Council Meetings at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh.
Throughout the past year, the church conducted an extensive array of 29,298 evangelistic outreaches in diverse formats, resulting in a substantial harvest of individuals embracing the Christian faith. This concerted endeavour represents a commendable 1.1% increase over the previous year’s performance, signalling a significant impact on a global scale.
Key initiatives such as the Gospel Sunday campaign proved particularly fruitful, contributing to the salvation of 13,725 souls. Additionally, the church’s dedication to reaching marginalized communities was evident in the salvation of 988 individuals through Home and Urban Missions and 532 souls through the Ministry to Persons with Disabilities.
Furthermore, the sacrament of water baptism witnessed a significant surge, with 34,248 individuals affirming their commitment to their newfound faith, marking a notable 4.9% increase from the previous year.
In tandem with its evangelistic endeavours, The Church of Pentecost expanded its global footprint, establishing 393 new Assemblies and creating seventy-eight (78) new Districts. These efforts underscore the church’s commitment to nurturing and sustaining growing congregations across diverse cultural and geographical contexts.
These remarkable achievements stand as a testament to the dedication, resilience, and strategic to make Jesus famous again by “possessing the nations” for Christ.
