The Nima Alaska District, in partnership with the Home and Urban Missions (HUM) of The Church of Pentecost, Ashaiman Sector, has inaugurated a Community Children’s Club in the district to reach out to the vulnerable children in the community.

The event took place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Nima Alaska Central Auditorium.

The enclaves of Nima, Alaska, Mamobi, Kanda and other surrounding communities are highly populated with migrants from the Northern part of Ghana and other African countries. These communities also face the challenge of substance use disorders and other vices which pose a threat to the children and teens in the area.

The church in its unleashing agenda created the Community Children’s Clubs to engage the children in the community.

Speaking at the launch of the club, Pastor Solomon Anderson, the Ashaiman Home and Urban Missions Sector Coordinator, highlighted the need to snatch vulnerable children through child evangelism and life-on-life discipleship.

Pastor Anderson entreated the children to trust in Jesus because of His unconditional love, omniscience, and constant presence to in their life.

Pastor Sylvester Ayiah, the Nima Alaska District Minister, encouraged the Sunday School teachers and parents present to make a deliberate effort to save children and support them both spiritually and physically.

He assured the church of his support to sustain the clubs to reach out to other children in the community.

Pastor Ayiah also thanked the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, for the new ministry interventions in line with Vision 2028 agenda of the church.

Each child present was presented with gift boxes.
