The Winneba Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Professor Peter Ohene Kyei, has advised Christians to look beyond the Church to impact lives and transform nations.

According to him, Christians are not only called to serve the Lord in churches but to influence the world in which they live.

“We have been called by Christ to be World-Changers. So as Christians, we must look beyond our local assemblies to transform cities, nations and the world,” he said

Apostle Prof. Ohene Kyei said this on Friday, January 4, 2019, when he gave a presentation on the topic: “The Role of PENSA in Transforming the Campus Community” with Matthew 28:18, Matthew 16:17-18 and Matthew 5:13-16 as his main scriptural references.

In his presentation, Apostle Prof. Ohene Kyei said that contemporary Christians ought to learn lessons from the early Christians who were able to turn cities upside down even though they were not very educated or well trained.

He said that Christians must cause radical transformation in their societies and nations stressing that: “Transformation is not a religion but a spiritual revolution.”

Apostle Prof. Peter Ohene Kyei said that believers can only bring about this transformation when the character of Jesus is manifested in their everyday lives.

“A changed heart leads to changed lives and this, in turn, should translate to new ways of doing things and leading. Transformation must not only be personal but holistic; it must affect all spheres of human life and the domains of society. Total transformation should be an inside-out approach,” he said.

Apostle Prof. Ohene Kyei, therefore, urged Christians to rise up in the power of the Holy Spirit to positively impact society.

“As Christians, we must be noted for honesty, ethics, love integrity and also known as women and men of principle” he further explained.

Apostle Prof. Peter Ohene Kyei, who is also the immediate-past Rector of the Pentecost University College (PUC), also urged Christian students to endeavour to influence their campuses as Salt and Light.

The 2019 PENSA Ghana Conference, dubbed “Transformation Agents Conference”, is being held under the auspices of the Youth Ministry of The Church of Pentecost. The event is under the theme: “I Will Build My Church” (Matthew 16:18 and Titus 2:13-14)
