The Tema Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Matthew Larbi Wettey, on Friday, July 20, 2018 dedicated a borehole water project at the Tema Area Office which also doubles as mission houses for Tema Communities Twelve and One Districts.
In an exhortation, Apostle Larbi Wettey noted that in as much as the Church takes care of the spiritual needs of its members, it also addresses their physical needs.
He said Jesus Christ provided bread and fish for over 5,000 men at a gathering when He realised that they were hungry. Therefore, it was not out of place that the Area undertook the project to meet the needs of the people in the community, he added.
Apostle Wettey explained that the Area Executive decided to undertake the project considering the high monthly water bills that the office pays.
The project which was started in May this year was completed at a total cost of GH¢29,313.
The Area Head called on the beneficiaries to maintain the project in order to extend its life span.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Pastor John Yanney of the Community One District praised the Area leadership for the project which, he said, has benefited them in no small way.
Present at the ceremony were ministers and staff of the Tema Area, and some officers of the Church.
