The Air Force Base Worship Centre in Takoradi Area of The Church of Pentecost has been inaugurated. The service which was officiated by the Area Head, Apostle Dr Alfred Koduah, took place on Sunday, June 3, 2018.

The Worship Centre started as an English assembly in February 2016 to spread the gospel among the military personnel and also provide pastoral care for the church members at the Air Force Barracks.

Speaking at the service on the topic: “We are God’s Bond Servants,” Apostle Dr. Alfred Koduah noted that Christians are God’s bond servants.

Using Exodus 21:2-6 and Deuteronomy 15:12-18 as his Bible texts, Apostle Dr. Koduah stressed that slaves were acquired in the Old Testament through war and also being sold as collateral in paying off debts.

He expounded that the day that a person accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and saviour, that person is free from sin and becomes bond servant of Jesus Christ.

He added that the piercing of the ear signifies the acceptance of the slave in serving his master willingly.

Apostle Dr. Koduah indicated that Jesus Christ requires from believers total obedience than sacrifice. He made a clarion call on Christians to serve God genuinely and refrain from all manner of sins which have the potential of destabilizing their faith in Christ.

In response, the Resident Minister, Pastor Lieutenant Godswill Gartowu, on behalf of his family thanked God and the leadership of the Church for the honour done them to serve at the worship centre.

In attendance at the service were: Pastors Augustine Dorman Kantiampong (Takoradi District), Emmanuel Opoku Mensah (PENSA Traveling Secretary, Takoradi Sector) and Mrs. Rachel Koduah (wife of the Takoradi Area Head).
