PIWC-Kokomlemle PEMEM Donates To Nsawam Prisons

The Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) of the Pentecost International Worship Center, Kokomlemle (PIWC-Kokomlemle) in the La Area of The Church of Pentecost has visited and donated some items in support of the Female Section of the Nsawam Prisons.

The items donated included 100 plastic chairs, 55 loaves of bread, 120 pieces of toilet tissue, 2 bags of ‘gari’, and 30 gallons each of antiseptics and detergents.

The visiting team, which was led by the District PEMEM leader, Elder Ato Hawkson, made the donation on behalf of the La Area Head, Apostle John Osei Amaniampong, and the Resident Minister of PIWC-Kokomlemle, Apostle Emmanuel Kwesi Acquah, and the PIWC-Kokomlemle Men’s Ministry.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Officer-in-Charge, staff and inmates of the prison, CSP Sophia Osei-Bonsu, the 2nd-in-Command, thanked the Church for the kind gesture. She called on other Christian groups as well as corporate organisations to also heed call of Jesus Christ by supporting those in prison.

In a short sermon to the inmates of the prison, Elder Ogbamey Tetteh advised the inmates not to be discouraged but rely on God for absolute joy, in spite of the environment in which they currently find themselves.

Aunty Mary and Aunty Mavis, both inmates of the prison, expressed their joy and gratitude to the Men’s Ministry for the donation and word of exhortation.

They prayed for God’s blessings for the delegation and all who contributed to the donation.
