On completion of College, he was employed at Obiri Yeboah Secondary School as an Accounting Tutor from 1973 to 1974. He later moved to Kintampo to work as a Clerk with the World Health Organization (WHO) under the Ministry of Health for four years (1975-1979). He also worked with Ghana Water and Sewage Company in Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region for thirteen years (1979-1992) and later transferred to Wa in the Upper West Region of Ghana (1992-1996).

Oswald was born into The Church of Pentecost. He was baptized in Sunyani by Apostle Bimpong (now deceased) in the year 1969. He was ordained a Deacon in 1975 and as an Elder in 1983.

His ministerial journey took him to Techiman Nsuta (1997-2003), Sankore (2003-2008), Asamankese (2008-2013) and finally Kotobabi (2013-2018).

Pastor Cheremeh could not have a successful ministry without the love and support of his dear wife, Mrs. Georgina Cheremeh. Together, they have formed a wonderful partnership in ministry which has yielded great results to the glory of God.
A retirement service would be held in honour of Pastor Oswald and Mrs. Georgina Cheremeh on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at the Maamobi Central Assembly in the La Area of The Church of Pentecost.
