The Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) in Mamprobi District of the Dansoman Area has organised a special event to showcase the rich Ghanaian culture.
The event dubbed “Traditional Wear Night” took place at the James McKeown Worship Centre at Korle Gonno on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
It was attended by chiefs, queens mothers and opinion leaders from the Mamprobi and Korle Gonno Traditional Councils. Notable amongst them was Nii Ansah Sasraku I, Head of Family, Korle Gonno Traditional Council.
The guest speaker for the night was Elder Eduah, Assistant Area PEMEM Leader, who commended the District Executive Committee Members, led by Elder Kaakyire Kwaku Asante, for putting together the innovative programme.
Elder Eduah further called on other PEMEM leaders in the Church to emulate the good works of the Mamprobi District so as to make the Ministry very attractive to all men in the Church.
The District Leader, Elder Kaakyire Asante, said the Ministry saw the need to organise the programme to educate and encourage people, especially the youth to cherish the beautiful Ghanaian traditional dresses.
Special awards were given to participants who were elegantly dressed in their traditional apparels. Also, an award was given to the best dressed couple.
