Kaneshie Area Youth Ministry Organises Young Couples’ Executive Dinner

The Youth Ministry of Kaneshie Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Pastor Daniel Okyei Boakye, has organised an outstanding executive dinner for young couples in the area.

The programme, which was held on Friday, December 28, 2018, at the Tesano Royale Hotel was organised to spice up marriages, prune marriages and nurture the flowers that grow in the marriage garden of couples.

The dinner was well attended by 154 young couples with the women in their glistening white attire and the men in their exquisite black suit and golden or red bow tie. The scene at the Tesano Royale Hotel was filled with love and excitement as couples took advantage of the programme to express love.

The Youth Director, Apostle Nyansah Hayfron, in his remarks, commended the leadership of the ministry for this initiative. He noted that prayer has a significant place in the Church, but aside that, such programmes are needed to arm young couples with the right knowledge to excel in their marriage life.

In his presentation, Apostle Hayfron bemoaned the attitude of many young people towards marriage. According to him, most young people love the refreshment and funfair that surrounds marriage but are found wanting when it comes to the practicality of marriage life.

“Marriage is a practical journey and a mystical union between a husband and his wife. Just as the Godhead is united, couples need to be united and allow the spirit of God to lead them in their marriage,” he stated.

He ended by stating that the family is the basic unit of the church and that is why God always calls families. He, therefore, advised couples to strive towards building healthy families adding that, “healthy families make healthy churches”.

Mrs Beatrice Kwaffo, a former Women’s Ministry Director of The Church of Pentecost, in her presentation on the topic, “Ingredients needed to build a Happy Marriage” averred that couples should take note that marriage is a ministry that needs to be fulfilled because it is given by God.

To build a happy marriage, Mrs Beatrice Kwaffo advised couples to learn how to appreciate little things, pamper each other, learn to satisfy each other, learn to maintain companion skills, learn to compliment each other with words, never disrespect each other both publicly or privately, be open to each other and stop comparing their marriages to other marriages.

Present at the dinner were Apostle Mike Etrue (Kaneshie Area Head), Mrs Sheila Hayfron (wife of Youth Director), Mrs Abigail Okyei Boakye (wife of Kaneshie Youth Pastor), Ps Samuel and Mrs Hannah Tetteh Doku, Ps Emmanuel and Mrs Vivian Appiah and Mrs Abishag Asamoah Boakye.
