God Will Reward You For Your Sacrifice – Chairman Assures Church Elders

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has praised Elders of the Church for their dedication to duty, and has assured them that God will duly reward them for their efforts.

Apostle Nyamekye said this when he, together with the General Secretary, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, and the International Missions Director (IMD), Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi-Addo, met with Elders of the Odorkor, Dansoman, Kaneshie and Anyaa-Ablekuma Areas, on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Odorkor Central church auditorium.

Addressing the church leaders, Apostle Nyamekye said that Elders of The Church of Pentecost are very key to the growth of the Church. He acknowledged them for their selflessness, commitment and the great sacrifices in the day-to-day running of the local church, nurturing members in the faith and guarding the doctrines of the Church.

“Elders are unpaid officers of the Church who are engaged in their full-time professions, yet they always make themselves available for service at all times. In fact, even though some of them face financial difficulties, they do not tamper with church funds. Rather they take care of it and ensure that it is sent to the appropriate quarters,” he alluded.

Reading from Hebrews 13:7, Apostle Nyamekye urged Elders to keep up with the good work and to do the work to the best of their abilities bearing in mind that their efforts will never go unnoticed and unrewarded by God.

He assured them, especially those who may be going through difficult challenges in their personal, work or family life to continue to serve the Lord and trust Him to reward them for their good works.

“When God curses, He curses to the fourth generation, but when He blesses, He blesses to a thousand generations. This means that our good works affects generations after us. So let us continue to give off our best so that in the future it will be said of us, that because of our good deeds, generations after us were blessed by God,” he said.

He urged Elders not to be perturbed by the present struggles they may be facing but to serve the Lord with joy by doing their best with what the Lord has blessed them with.

The Chairman also advised them not to seek reward from any individual but only seek the reward of the Lord Jesus Christ who has called them to labour with Him.

The leadership of the Church is holding separate meetings with all Elders of the Church across the nation to elaborate on Vision 2023 in order to ensure its smooth and effective implementation.

The Principal Officers have already concluded their two-day meeting with Elders in the Downtown Ofaakor and Kasoa Areas.

The 5-year vision document of The Church of Pentecost dubbed “Vision 2023” aims at equipping her members to possess their nations by transforming every worldview, thought and behaviour with values, principles and lifestyles of the Kingdom of God; thereby turning many people to Christ. The theme for Vision 2023 is “Possessing the Nations: Equipping the Church to Transform Every Sphere of Society with Values and Principles of the Kingdom of God” and is accompanied by the slogan: “Possessing the Nations: I am an agent of transformation!”
