The Administrative Secretary to the General Secretary, Pastor Felix Okyere Anti, has said that Christians can effectively possess the nations if they do not compromise their Christian values and principles.

Pastor Anti said this on Monday, December 17, 2018, when he exhorted participants of the 22nd Head Office Management & Staff Retreat currently underway at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh.

Speaking on the topic: “Possessing The Nations: Lessons From Daniel and His Friends with Daniel 1, 2 and 6, as scripture references, Pastor Anti said that Daniel (Belteshazzar), Hananiah (Shadrach), Mishae (Meshach) and Azariah (Abednego) did not compromise on their beliefs by rejecting the choices food in the King Nebuchadnezzar’s palace.

He said that they saw themselves as no ordinary people and therefore were not prepared to defile themselves with the King’s food.

“They had kept the word in their heart and so they did not kowtow to the pleasures of the world,” he said.

He, therefore, advised Christians to hold fast to their Christian beliefs and principles and not to substitute them for the pleasures of the world. He noted that “the lust of the flesh,” “the lust of the eyes,” and “the pride of life” are the things that could cause believers to compromise on their faith.

He urged Christians to always strive to be obedient to the word of God in all circumstances, especially during trying times.

Pastor Anti also advised Christians to be very prayerful so as to receive divine revelations from God in order to possess the nations. He said that it is only through prayer that the mind of God concerning the nations would be revealed to them.

Pastor Felix Okyere Anti, who also doubles as the Resident Minister of Onyame Tease Worship Centre in the La Area, cautioned believers to be careful about who they associate with since bad friends could corrupt their characters. He said that Daniel had good friends and that was why they backed him to reject the food that was presented to them by Ashpenaz (Chief Official of King Nebuchadnezzar).

The 22nd Head Office Management & Staff Retreat of The Church of Pentecost is under the theme: “I Will Build My Church” (Matthew 16:18, Titus 2:14:15). The three-day event which was officially opened on Monday, December 17, 2018, by the Chairman, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, is expected to close on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.
