COP Member Wins Two International Awards

17-year-old Kevin Takyi Yeboah, a final year General Science student of St. Peter’s Senior High School, Kwahu Nkwatia, has won two separate international awards this year for academic excellence.

Kevin, the son of Elder Alex Yeboah, the immediate past Presiding Elder of Hosanna Assembly in East Airport District of the Teshie-Nungua Area of The Church of Pentecost, was selected to represent his school in a competitive Ghana International Model United Nations programme held in January 2018.

Based on his successful performance, he was again nominated to take part in another contest for the 2018 International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) which was held on 10th March, 2018. He justified his nomination again by winning the contest.

For his prize, Kevin travelled to Italy in April for the UN Model programme while the 2nd award for the International Physics Olympiad takes him to Portugal in July this year.

Besides the international awards, Kevin received multiple awards as the best student in English, Chemistry, Physical Education, Geography and Integrated Science during the school’s 60th Anniversary celebration last year.
