The Community One District Children’s Ministry in the Tema Area of The Church of Pentecost has gone to the aid of the Tema General Hospital located at Tema in the Greater-Accra Region.
A delegation of 15 teachers and 25 children visited the Tema General Hospital on Sunday, July 29, 2018, to donate some items including provisions, detergents, assorted fruits and many others, to staff and patients at the Children’s Wards of the hospital.
Presenting the items, the District Children’s Ministry Leader, Elder Bernard Kobbina Asiedu, said that it is the annual practice of the ministry to demonstrate the act of generosity towards individuals or organizations who are in need of assistance. The Tema General Hospital was therefore chosen as the beneficiary for this year’s charitable gesture.
The Head of Department for Children’s Wards, Mrs Kokui Klutse, who received the items on behalf of the hospital, thanked the Children’s Ministry for the wonderful gesture. She, therefore, called for God’s blessing for the ministry so that they would be able to continue with the good work. “It is our prayer that the Lord will bless you so much that the next time you come to the hospital you would be able to give much more than you have done,” she added.
In turn, Madam Delali Fiadzigbey, a health official of the hospital, expressed profound gratitude to the delegation for the items and said that they would be of great help to the hospital.
Among the delegation were: Deacon Kingsley Nyarkom (District Assistant Leader), Madam Janet Mensah (District Secretary), Elder Joseph Larbi Darko (District Executive Member) and other Local Leaders and Assistants in the District.
