The Cape Coast Area of The Church of Pentecost held their first Area prayer gathering for the year on Friday, 9th February, at the Adisadel Auditorium of the Cape Coast district.
The prayer retreat dubbed, ‘Spiritual Clinic Hour’ is held quarterly in the Area and brings together the pastorate and members from all 27 districts in the Area.
The February encounter was full of the presence of God amidst testimonies of God’s supernatural works in the lives of His people.
During the word ministration on the topic, “When God Delays, Move From Feeling To Faith,” Pastor Emmanuel K. Aidoo said that God has times and seasons marked for everyone. Therefore, when it seems that God has delayed in answering one’s prayer request, He is only waiting for the appointed time, he indicated.
Reading from Psalm 13:1-6 and Isaiah 49:14-19, Pastor Aidoo recounted the condition of the psalmist when his cries seemed unanswered. “Frustration, dejection, loneliness, discouragement becomes our lot in such times, but the child of God is admonished to move from these feelings and operate in faith, for the just shall live by faith,” he pointed out.
“The Christian should always remember that God can never forget about His children. When God seems to delay it does not necessary mean He has forgotten about His children. He will certainly make everything beautiful in His time,” he added.
The Area Head, Apostle David Tettey Tekper, on his part, admonished the members to take prayer seriously and deepen their spiritual lives so that they can enjoy more of God.
There were testimonies about the goodness of God in their families, healing from various ailments, deliverance from accidents and assassination attempts.
The programme witnessed over a thousand attendance.
