Born Again Worship Centre in the Achimota Area of The Church of Pentecost organised a weeklong programme dubbed “Family Week” under the theme: “Stronger Family, Stronger Church” (Colossians 3:14).

According to the Resident Minister, Pastor Isaac Annor, the Family Week is an annual event aimed at bringing families (whether biological or platonic) together in Christ.

The event opened on Monday, July 23, 2018 with a seminar on Financial Independence on Monday facilitated by Elder Paul Mante, an Investment Expert. Elders Lawyer Amankwaah, a legal practitioner, and Dr. Rexford Birikorang, a medical practitioner, took their turns on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

On Thursday, Mrs. Gifty Bremansu reminded participants of the roles each member of the nuclear family ought to play to ensure a successful unit, whilst Friday was used to highlight the cultural heritage of Ghana.

Members of the church embarked on an evangelism walk across the principal streets of Dome, Taifa, Atomic and its environs on Saturday morning. This was followed by a food competition among the various assemblies of the Church. As part of activities, there were health screening exercises, various games as well as bouncing castles for children.

The Family Week was climaxed on Sunday, July 29, 2018 with a special service dubbed “Traditional Day” where members attended church service in their respective native traditional costumes. It was indeed a awesome sight to behold.

Members were very thrilled and greatly impacted by the weeklong event and were, therefore, grateful to the leadership of the Church for this laudable initiative.
