Be Dedicated And Consecrated To God – Pastor Kyei To Youth

The Lebanon District Minister in the Ashaiman Area of The Church Of Pentecost, Pastor Aaron Yaw Kyei, has advised the youth to refrain from engaging in sexual relations until they are married.

Addressing the youth on the topic: “The Purity of a Christian Youth,” at a joint service organized by the District Youth Ministry at the Calvary Temple on Saturday, February 10, 2018, Pastor Kyei said there is the need for Christian youth stay pure in order to see the glory of God over their lives.

He urged the youth to yearn for purity, which, he said, is one of the greatest gifts God gave mankind through His beloved son Jesus Christ in order to set them free from the bondage of Satan.

He said all forms of demonic practices are on the rise in today’s world. He added that many who are copying blindly have unconsciously become captives to Satan.

He, therefore, expressed dismay at the fact that unholy practices such as Lesbianism, homosexuality and bestiality (humans having sexual intercourse with animals), among other acts which the Bible strongly speaks against, are increasingly becoming accepted in today’s world.

Reading Matthew 5:8, the Lebanon District Pastor tasked the youth to stay pure by completely freeing themselves from the power of sin because sin only brings shame and leads to death.

He added that if they allow their bodies, which is the temple of God, to be shrouded with total purity and be dedicated and consecrated onto God, they are assured of the inheritance of God’s kingdom.

Pastor Kyei further stated that for the youth to enjoy the blessings of God, it is important they stay focused, remain in Him and His basic message, and please Him alone.

“We are admonished to live to please our creator God. The aim of every Christian youth should be to please God, who is our maker because He created us for Himself [in order for us] to please and glorify Him,” he said.

Pastor Kyei, quoting Isaiah 43:7, stressed that God created humans for a purpose, and that is to ensure that His name is exalted, hence, every Christian has a responsibility of ensuring that this is accomplished.

“Henceforth glorify the Lord God with your body. Glorify Him with your life. Glorify Him with your utterances. In everything glorify Him in fulfilment of His purpose for which you have been created,” he added.

Pastor Kyei also charged the young ladies to dress decently as Christians to reflect the nature of Christ as expected of them. He also advised them to avoid wearing provocative and indecent dresses which exposes parts of their bodies, thereby leading many into sin.
