Members of the Assin Manso District in the Assin Foso Area of The Church of Pentecost have undergone free medical screening and consultation.

The exercise, which was spearheaded by the District Minister, Pastor Emmanuel Abugre, took place at Assin Andoe New Town Assembly Church building on December 21, 2018, as part of the activities slated for the Christmas convention.

It was done in collaboration with SAVE YOUR LIVER FOUNDATION, a Non-Governmental Organisation, and was patronised by over 150 people.

Medical services offered include, checking of blood and sugar levels, blood pressure, blood group and Hepatitis B. Patrons who were tested negative to Hepatitis B were vaccinated whilst those who tested positive were given medication.

Patrons were educated on the right way to handle their eating habits by consuming foods that favour their health based on their blood groupings.

Mrs. Elizabeth Abugre, the wife of the District Minister, advised those tested to have Hepatitis B not to be discouraged, but try and undergo the necessary medical treatment since the disease is treatable.

She also advised those who were tested negative to be involved in the vaccination to prevent contracting it, adding that, “Hepatitis B was a dangerous disease, and must be given the needed medical attention as HIV/AIDS.”

Elder Edward Ayivor, the Presiding Elder for Assin Andoe Newtown Assembly, in a remark explained that the exercise was in line with the Vision 2023 of the Church dubbed “Possessing the Nations” and transforming the society with kingdom principles and values.

He advised Christians to lead generous lives, bearing in mind that whatever God has blessed them with was for the benefit of the people around them.

He thanked the District Pastor for his concern for the physical, spiritual, financial and health needs of the members.
