The Koforidua Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, has cut the sod for the commencement of the Area’s Mission House building project.

The event, which took place on December 25, 2018, was attended by a cross-section of ministers, officers and members in the Area.

The initiative to construct a new place of residence for the Area Head has been mooted by past leaders of the Area over the years because the current Area Mission House is unable to host other guests who visit the Area for official assignments. As a result, the Area is always forced to seek accommodation elsewhere anytime guests call on them.

During the tenure of the immediate-past Area Head, Apostle Eric Nyamekye (now Chairman of the Church), the request for a new Mission House to be put up for the Area was approved by the Executive Council. However, Apostle Nyamekye was unable to start the project after his election to the office of Chairman of the Church at the 43rd General Council Meetings.

Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, who took over the reins of the Area, has, therefore, cut the sod for the official commencement of the project which is expected to be completed in two years.
