The outgoing Asamankese Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Moses Ayitey, has donated GH¢10,000 as seed money for the establishment of the Asamankese Area Educational Fund.

The fund is to provide bursaries for needy but brilliant students who are members of the Church in the Area in pursuit of higher education.

Apostle Ayitey announced this during his retirement service on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Asamankese in the Eastern Region.

According to him, the education endowment fund was high on his agenda but it could not be realised due to some teething problems. He therefore urged the Area leadership to use the seed money to start the novelty in order to give opportunities for young members to attain higher education.

He noted that many young people could not realise their dreams of pursuing higher education because of financial constraints. He was hopeful that the fund would go a long way to address such challenges.
