The mammoth service which took place at the Dunkwa Central Assembly auditorium on Sunday, September 9, 2018, was officiated by Apostle Vincent Anane Denteh, the Sefwi-Bekwai Area Head of the Church. Apostle Amaniampong is on transfer to the La Area in Accra.

In a testimony, the Dunkwa Area Presbytery described Apostle John Osei Amaniampong as honest, innovative, affable, and an outstanding leader with good administration skills who gives room to people under him to utilise their potentials.

According to the Area Presbytery, Apostle Amaniampong is known for his great Bible expository and evangelism drive, saying, “His contribution towards infrastructure development in the Area was unprecedented.”

His wife Mrs. Mary Osei Amaniampong, was also said to be prayerful, good home manager, very generous and hospitable.

The chiefs, opinion leaders and heads of institutions in the Dunkwa Municipality hailed Apostle Amaniampong for his hospitality, wisdom and good interpersonal relationship with key stakeholders in the municipality.

The Dunkwa Area of the Church has chalked many successes under the leadership of Apostle John Osei Amaniampong. During his tenure, 10,427 souls were won of which 9,024 were baptised by immersion, 11,005 received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, eight districts were created, 74 Community Based Church Buildings (CBCBs) were built, 86 church buildings were dedicated, nine missions houses were also dedicated, and 11 other buildings had their foundation stones laid.

Other achievements are the purchasing of 220 canopies, 3 set of platforms and 465 chairs; a power generating plant purchased by the Teshie-Nungua Area for the Area mission house, and the renovation of the Area mission house.

Preaching the sermon on the topic, “Now I Know You Are A Man Of God” with the Shunammite woman and Prophet Elisha as a case study, Apostle Vincent Anane Denteh admonished the congregation to live for the Kingdom.

Quoting from 1 Kings 17:24, Apostle Denteh said Elisha’s life was closely watched by the Shunammite woman, hence her ability to conclude that Elisha was a holy man of God.

He admonished believers to impact the world with their lifestyle since they are the salt and light of the world. He charged them to brighten every part of the world with the truth and character that depicts the image of Christ.

“The greatness of a man of God is not in his assets but how effective you are in the Kingdom and the impact you make in the Kingdom,” he said.

He said the Shunammite woman had faith in the Lord, and served God out of a pure conscience and good motive. “She received and took care of the prophet of God, not because of what she will get from him,” he added.

He therefore advised the congregation to work for God with a pure motive and remain selfless when working for God.

Apostle Anane Denteh also said that the woman was matured in the Lord to be able to discern between men of God and holy men of God. He advised Christians to make distinction between true men of God, and false prophets.

He added that the Shunammite woman was a promoter of the Kingdom. He encouraged believers to work for God and sacrifice for the Kingdom. “The Shunammite woman was very sacrificial and hospitable, thinking and caring for men of God,” he said.

Concluding his message, he encouraged believers not to waste the grace of God on their lives but use it to promote the Kingdom of God.
