A former Executive Council Member and a Trustee of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Ansong (Retd.), has commended the Chairman, Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, for the selfless way he has led the Church for the past 10 years.

“You have proven that, indeed, when we get the right people with the right attitude who are filled with the spirit of God to lead the Church, the future of The Church of Pentecost will be secured till Jesus comes,” he said.

Apostle Ansong (Retd.) said this on March 1, 2018, during the Finance Board Meeting at the Church’s Headquarters at La in Accra. The meeting was the last being chaired by Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah as a sitting Chairman of the Church.

Apostle Ansong (Retd.), who delivered the sermon during the induction service of Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah as Chairman ten years ago, said that the message he preached on that day was divine.

“God gave me the right message to deliver to the Chairman and the leadership at that time. When I look back on how God has dealt faithfully with the Church for the past 10 years through the leadership of Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, it gives me great joy,” he said.

He lauded the Chairman for his selfless nature and commended him for not manipulating his office to his own advantage.

Apostle Rigwell Ato Addison (Retd.), a former General Secretary and a Trustee of The Church of Pentecost, also commended the Chairman for ensuring that the church stayed true to the basic and unadulterated gospel message of Jesus Christ.

“The way you led the church in fighting the prosperity gospel which was fast creeping into the Church was phenomenal,” he said.
