As part of the activities to climax the 2018 Christmas Convention, the Alajo District in La Area of The Church of Pentecost has enrolled 200 members into the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
The convention which was under the theme, “Unto Us a Son is Given” (Isaiah 9:6), was culminated on Sunday, December 23, 2018.
In an interview, the District Minister, Pastor Peter Mensah Yanney, indicated that the core of Christmas is about sharing with loved ones and the needy.
He indicated that God gave His Son Jesus as a gift to mankind, an expression of how much He loves humanity. “It is out of that love that the district also thought it wise to show kindness and love to the less endowed members within the church,” he stressed.
Pastor Yanney pledged the church’s commitment to regularize the exercise in order to assist the members who cannot afford to be registered onto the NHIS.
The beneficiaries expressed their deepest appreciation to the church for the benevolence. They were hopeful that the gesture will help them access quality health care.
