The Abuakwa Area of The Church of Pentecost has acquired a Canon EOS 1300D (W) camera and a wireless internet modem at a cost of GH₵2,300 to aid news reporting in the Area.
At a brief presentation ceremony held on Friday, March 9, 2018, the Area Head, Apostle Emmanuel Kwasi Osei Ofosu presented the items to the leader of the Area Reporters Team, Overseer Gordon Ansah, who doubles as the District Minister of Mfensi.
In his remarks, Apostle E.K. Osei Ofosu expressed enormous appreciation to the Area News Reporting Team for the good work done since the inception of the Area in the year 2015.
He acknowledged that it was not surprising, the team leader was honoured as the best for the Northern Sector during the 2017 National News Reporters Seminar held at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa-Fetteh on Thursday, November 30, 2017.
Apostle Osei Ofosu further urged the Area Reporters Team to take good care of the items so that it can serve the Area for a long while.
Receiving the items, Overseer Gordon Ansah was full of praise to God as well as the Area Executive Committee for such a timely gesture. Overseer Ansah recalled how he and his team had to use mobile phones and iPads to take pictures as well as taking snapshots during night programmes.
He also thanked the Area Head for the enormous support offered to the News Team. He thanked the Area Head for always reading through and editing the news scripts sent to him with dexterity and releasing them on time for publication.
Overseer Gordon Ansah assured the Area Executive Committee that, the Area Reporters Team will continue to do exploits for the Lord and also promised to use the items with the utmost caution.
