The International Missions Directorate of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, Missions Director of the Church, has commenced its maiden Western World Ministers and Wives Conference in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The event, currently underway at the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel, has brought together ministers of The Church of Pentecost and their spouses from across the Western world.
The conference, chaired by the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, is being held under the theme: “Unleashed to Live a Life Worthy of Your Calling,” drawn from Ephesians 4:1, Galatians 1:24, and 1 Thessalonians 4:7-8.
Apostle Nyamekye, in his opening address, explained that the expansion of the traditional European Ministers’ Conference into a full Western World gathering is aimed at fostering a shared understanding among ministers on the global mission agenda of the Church.
He noted the Church’s phenomenal growth into over 190 nations and the increasing involvement of indigenous believers, which has led to the planting of city and homogenous churches outside Ghana.
He urged ministers to move beyond congregational routines and to become intentional about raising Christ-like communities whose lives make a visible impact across the spheres of society.
“Our presence in the nations must not just be about holding church services. It must be felt in the way we live, build relationships, and serve as bridges for the gospel to travel,” he emphasised.
He further challenged participants to look beyond Ghanaian communities in the diaspora and focus on reaching the Western world, which he described as a complex but fertile ground for the gospel amidst growing secularism, individualism, and moral relativism.
Also addressing the gathering in later sessions will be the General Secretary, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, and Executive Council Members Apostle Dr. Dieudonne Nuekpe and Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi.
The conference, running from 6th to 8th August 2025, features morning, afternoon, and evening sessions—including workshops designed to equip participants for transformational ministry in their local contexts.
In a warm welcome address, the host of the conference, Apostle Samuel Obeng Eshun—who oversees The Church of Pentecost in the Netherlands—described the gathering as “a divine appointment.”
He noted that the purpose of the conference is to equip ministers to return home burning with renewed power and strength to challenge prevailing worldviews and advance the Kingdom of God.
The conference continues with more workshop sessions and spirit-filled encounters in the days ahead.
