Apostle Rigwell Ato Addison (Rtd), a former General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, has urged Christians to have faith in the power of Jesus Christ.
“We can always take up their mats and go home with the assurance that Jesus has paid it all and we are free,” he said as he preached today at the ongoing Easter Convention at the Fred Stephen Safo Memorial Temple, Nungua Nshorna.
Preaching on the theme for the convention, “Jesus Christ Paid It All” and reading from, Isaiah 54: 14-15, Apostle Ato Addison stated that the Prophet Isaiah truly projected the Lord Jesus Christ.
According to him, the Prophet gave a good description of who a messiah is and what is expected of him.
He further stated that the statement “Jesus Christ paid it all” connotes the cancellation of any debt owed by a person on earth.
He, therefore, urged Christians to be resolute in faith in God and this will propel them onto greatness.
“The Prophet Isaiah also championed and projected Jesus as the suffering man. He will come as a man, if we believe he will carry all our burdens and infirmities,” he added.
Reading from Colossians 2:14-15, Apostle Addison also stated that Jesus Christ, having canceled the indebtedness of humanity, has nailed it to the cross.
He explained that, by virtue of His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ has taken away the charge sheet and thus saved us from condemnation.
“Having disarmed the powers and authorities, Jesus made a public spectacle of them and triumphed over them by the cross.
“So, if we say Jesus Christ paid it all, it is justified because through him salvation is for all.” he said.
