The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has urged Christians to be mindful of God’s presence wherever they are and to always be available for His use.

In a brief exhortation taken from Genesis 28:16-17 on the first day of the 2024 Heads’ Fasting and Prayer Meeting at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) in Gomoa Fetteh on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, Apostle Nyamekye highlighted that Jacob recognised his location as the very presence of God. Jacob, who thought he was on the run, realised during his struggles that God was with him in that very place.

Apostle Nyamekye explained, “Jacob’s words, ‘God is in this place,’ or ‘God is here,’ emphasise that God is where believers find themselves.”

He noted that Jacob identified the gate of heaven as the place where God is and encouraged the gathering to enter through this gate.

‘So far as I am concerned, God is here. In this very place I stand. Where is your God?’ he asked the gathering, adding, ‘This is the gate of heaven. When you get to the gate of heaven, don’t hesitate to enter.’

The Chairman observed that believers serve a boundless God who cannot be contained in one place. He, therefore, admonished the heads to open up for His infilling,’ saying, ‘The owner and builder of The Church of Pentecost is here. You better know and adjust. For out of the fullness of His grace, we have all obtained grace. If you open up, He will fill your vessel.’

Apostle Nyamekye also stated: ‘Your fullness does not depend on God’s ability to pour but on your ability and willingness to receive.’

He called on the gathering to yield to God, knowing they are in His very presence.

‘If God is here, angels cannot stay in heaven or hang anywhere else; they are here. We have come to the company of innumerable angels, the New Jerusalem. This is the gate of heaven, enter,’ he concluded with a passionate charge.
