The Assin Foso Area Evangelism Team of The Church of Pentecost on May 1, 2019 approached the traders of Assin Andoe with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Elder Enoch Antwi, who preached the sermon on the topic, “There is no salvation without repentance” based on 2 Kings 2:1 and Hebrews 7:25, explained that salvation is where one is restored and made new for the purpose of becoming saved.
He added that salvation is the act of being rid of the old conditions or lifestyles and becoming approved before the Lord. All these, he said, are made possible when one accepts Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, hence the need for repentance.
He cautioned the people not to follow the examples of Manasseh who was made King of Jerusalem at 12 years and reigned for 55 years, yet did evil in the sight of the Lord, and that provoked God to hand His own people over to their enemies.
“Do not remain in your abominable acts for the Lord to cast you away from His presence; accept Jesus Christ now and allow Him to cleanse you with His precious blood,” he admonished.
After the sermon, the Evangelism team members engaged the traders in personal evangelism. To the glory of God, 34 souls including three Muslims, were won for Christ.
The Market evangelism brought together over 300 people in the market. They were later engaged in intensive prayers which led to massive deliverance of many people from the power of Satan.
