Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, the General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, has warned ministers and wives of the Church that “Evil hands cannot carry the Ark of God.”

His warning came during his message on Day 5 of the Ministers and Wives Conference for the Eastern Region, where he addressed the theme: “The Lost Glory – The Causes.”

Speaking to the gathering, Apostle Obuobi cautioned that engaging in sin causes ministers and wives to lose the Kabowd, the glory of God, which is essential for an effective ministry.

He stressed that it is not enough to simply hold ministerial titles; what matters most is the condition of one’s heart and relationship with God.

Referencing the story from 1 Samuel 4:10-11, the General Secretary reminded the congregation that the Ark of the Covenant, representing the glory and presence of God, was captured by the Philistines after the priests, Hophni and Phinehas, who were living in sin, carried it into battle.

He emphasized, “So the Lord departed them and made the Ark an ordinary material,” highlighting that when individuals in ministry live unrighteous lives, they jeopardize the very presence of God in their service.

Apostle Obuobi further warned that failure to spend quality time in prayer and the Word of God will lead to the loss of God’s glory.

He urged ministers to stay committed to leading holy and righteous lives, warning that failure to do so would result in a spiritual downfall. He stated that “Evil hands cannot carry the Ark of God,” stressing that sin and unholiness are incompatible with the presence of God and His glory.

He encouraged ministers and wives to prioritize spending time in God’s presence, for it is only through intimacy with Him that they can be empowered for greater impact in ministry.
