The Djankrom District in the Suhum Area of The Church of Pentecost has distributed food items worth GH¢12,530.00 to the needy in the district to help alleviate their plights following the partial lockdown.
The donation which was presented on Sunday, April 19, 2020, was to assist the church members cope with the challenges that confronted them as a result of the COVID-19 restrictive measures announced by the President.
In an interview with PENTECOST NEWS, the District Minister of Djankrom, Pastor Samuel Aboagye Yirenkyi, explained that the donation was part of the effort to reduce the impact of the partial lockdown that hit Accra and its environs.
Some of the food items distributed include bags of rice, tubers of yam, maize, beans, among others.
The church has also supported some private school teachers in the community who were not paid their March salaries due to the lockdown.
