The Dawhenya District Women’s Ministry, in collaboration with the Schools Outreach Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, joined the global celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child to show support and commitment to the development of young girls.
The ministry made a notable impact by visiting the Dawhenya D/A Basic School, where they interacted with the students, particularly focusing on the girl child.
During the visit, the ministry delivered inspirational messages, encouraging the girls to be confident in themselves and pursue their education, since education is a key to securing a bright future.
A major highlight of the event was an engaging session on menstrual hygiene, led by Deaconess Esther Pratt. She educated the girls on proper hygiene practices and encouraged them to embrace their womanhood with confidence.
As part of The Church of Pentecost’s corporate social responsibility, the Women’s Ministry also made a generous donation of sanitary towels to support the girls, underscoring the church’s commitment to their physical and emotional welfare.
The event was graced by the presence of Deaconess Sabina Teye, the District Women’s Leader, along with her assistant, Deaconess Agnes Ofori, and several other executive members and members. This memorable occasion stands as a testament to the church’s unwavering commitment to the cause of young girls and their holistic development.
The ministry expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the school authorities, teachers, and the entire student body for their warm reception and active participation, which made the event a success.
