Black Stars coach Charles Kwabla Akunnor has named a 23-man squad for his first assignment since assuming the role.
The former captain will be in charge as the Stars play Sudan in a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations home-and-away qualifier. The home game at Cape Coast will be played on Friday, March 27.
In his squad are four locally based players – Asante Kotoko’s Habib Mohammed, Hearts of Oak’s Richard Attah, Ashantigold’s Kwadwo Amoako and Aduana Stars’ goal poacher Yahaya Mohammed.
He has also called back among others Mubarak Wakaso and Richmond Boakye Yiadom and has kept faith in 16 others including the Ayew brothers as well as Thomas Teye Partey.
