The Children’s Ministry of Cape Coast Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated relief items worth GHS 3,000.00 to the Pediatric Ward of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital to support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The items, comprising of 10 gallons of liquid soap, 5 boxes of hand sanitiser, 50 pieces of face mask, 100 pieces of hand gloves and assorted food items, were presented to officials of the hospital by the Area Children’s Ministry Executive Committee led by Pastor Ernest Ohene Adu.
The short presentation ceremony took place at the premises of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital on May 13, 2020.
Handing over the items, Pastor Ernest Ohene Adu applauded all the health workers and other frontline workers for the professionalism, dedication and commitment exhibited so far in the COVID-19 fight. He also urged health workers to ensure that the items are used for the purpose for which they were presented.
Receiving the items, Dr Efua Ofori Atakora, the Administrator of the Pediatric Ward of the Hospital, expressed her profound gratitude to the church for the wonderful gesture. She said that the items had come at the right time and would help them in effectively discharging their duties. She also assured the delegation that the items would be distributed to nurses and children in the pediatric ward.
Present at the presentation ceremony were some health workers of the hospital.
