The Bolga Area of the Church of Pentecost has ended this year’s Ministers and Officers Retreat (Apostolisation). The four-day retreat, under the leadership of the Bolga Area Head, Apostle Wilberforce Kwame Nkrumah Agyeman, saw several officers in the various districts receiving teachings on the theme for the year 2019 (I Will Build My Church) and the vision of the church for the next five years dubbed Vision 2023.

Due to the extensive stretch of the Area, the retreat was divided into three zones, Bolga, Navrongo and Sandema zones with speakers rotating in the various venues.

Speaking at the opening session at the Bolga Zone, Pastor Johannes Agoba exhorted the congregation that when God calls believers, He calls them to transform them. He said God’s purpose is to bless those He has called. However, God expects that His blessings on His people will draw the attention of the people of nations to the fact that He is the One True God.

When he took his turn, Apostle Major Kumi Woode brought to bear his experience in the military. He said, Christians belong to the Army of God and as such every believer has a crown and a divine rank once they accept Jesus’ Lordship.

He said believers are designed for combat and their strategy is to go on the offensive to take over the gates of hell for the Kingdom of God. He encouraged Christians to walk in confidence because Christ is the leader of the army.

Apostle Wilberforce Nkrumah Agyeman, on the closing day of the Apostolisation, charged members to receive a new touch of fire from God. Speaking from Isaiah 6:1-8, he said Isaiah after receiving the touch of fire from the angel of the Lord was transformed, hence just a touch of God is enough to energize them to take the nations.

As part of the event, 118 persons from the various districts of the Area were ordained as officers. They were 26 Elders, 53 Deacons and 39 Deaconesses.

When quizzed about their thoughts about the just-ended Apostolisation, some participants said that they had had a fulfilling time during the retreat. With the Apostolisation ending on high morale, it is expected that the Upper East region of Ghana will experience major transformation through the power of the Gospel.
