The annual Officers Retreat of The Church of Pentecost dubbed “Apostolization” was held in the Berekum Area of the church from 12th to 15th February, 2020.
The retreat held in three zones namely, Berekum, Dormaa and Drobo, sought to educate the officers on this year’s theme of the church, “A Glorious Church to Possess the Nations” culled from Ephesians 3:21; 5:27.
Giving his welcome address, the Area Head, Apostle Samuel Berko, said the theme for the year is very appropriate and must be embraced and worked on by all. “That is why we have come to spend three days here to equip ourselves in this regard,” he stressed.
He added: “In making our churches glorious ones to possess the nations, we must work hard, work beyond limits and must feel uncomfortable until we feel our churches are weightier. We must really feel in our bones and marrows the glory of God in our churches and this will not come automatic, it must be worked on.”
Seasoned ministers of God such as Apostle G. O. D. Debrah of Kintampo Area and Apostle David Yeboah Asare (Rtd), were the guest speakers at the retreat. The topics treated were: A glorious Church to Possess the Nations; The Church called to a Holy Living; The Power and Beauty of Christian Fellowship; The Christian and the Lordship of Jesus Christ; Possessing the Nations through Prayer; Possessing the Nations through Personal Evangelism and Living a Life of Integrity as a Christian.
This year’s retreat which recorded massive attendance was backed by intensive prayers after the word ministrations and impartations. The retreat sparked a revival and a new zeal in the officers who were poised to go and make positive impact in their respective local assemblies and communities.
The officers were full of praise to God for such a wonderful and glorious experience they encountered.
