The Darkuman District Minister of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Samuel Awugya, has called on the youth of the church to be zealous about things concerning God.
He made the call when during an Area Zonal Joint Service held at the Darkuman Central Assembly on September 16, 2024.
In a sermon titled, ‘The Unleashed Youth: Revisiting the Zeal of the Apostolic Fathers,’ with scripture references to Acts 1:8 and Matthew 28:18-20, Pastor Awugya appealed to the youth to be zealous in evangelism and other outreaches to win souls for Christ Jesus.
He recalled how the early church were unleashed in the power of the Holy Ghost and transformed their spheres for the Lord.
Revealing how the power of God has always been at work in The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Awugya indicated that people like the late Apostle Walker and others through their zeal for God did miraculous works and won many souls for Jesus Christ in their days through the power of the Holy Spirit.
He, therefore, charged the youth to dedicate their time and energy for the things of the Lord in other to be used mightily by the Lord as the church is taking over nations to transform every society with Kingdom principles.
The meeting, under the umbrella of Darkuman Zone, was attended by Youth Ministry members from Darkuman, Darkuman Nyamekye, PIWC-Nyamekye, Kwashieman and Mt. Zion districts.
