It was all joy when the Pentecost International Worship Centre, Berekum (PIWC-Berekum) organised a dinner for couples in the church on the New Year day (1st January, 2020).
The event, which took place at the Ahenfie Hotel in Berekum, was meant to promote fellowship, release pressure, share experiences and rejuvenate the first love in their marriages.
Older couples were given the opportunity to share their experiences in marriage, while fresh couples also shared their experiences in the new life of marriage.
From the experiences shared, some couples admitted that there were challenges in their marriages but God has always been their anchor to sustain their marriages. They were hopeful that the event would help renew their marriages.
Some other activities that took place during the dinner were ‘Pick and act’ and ‘Identify your partner’s footwear,’ among others.
The Resident Minister, Pastor Solomon Azagisiya, encouraged the couples to seek their first love in marriage if it has been lost or diminished in order to enjoy their marriages.
“Choose to love your partner, especially in times when love seems to have fled away, for love is not a feeling but a commitment,” he emphasized.
Pastor Azagisiya was thankful to the couples, especially those who came from other districts and regions to be part of the programme. He was hopeful that the programme would help refresh their marriages and cause peace, happiness and love to their marriages.
