The Asokwa Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Prophet James Osei Amaniampong, has organised his maiden meeting with the Area Presbytery.
The meeting, which took place on 8th October, 2018, at the McKeown Temple, Asokwa, was to unveil his vision for the Area as he assumes office.
Prophet Amaniampong was recently transferred from the Teshie-Nungua Area to Asokwa after five years of fruitful ministry.
As part of the meeting, the new Area Head shared various prophecies that were received during his welcome service, and allowed both the clergy and the laity to express their views on them.
Sharing his four-year strategic vision for the Area, Prophet Amaniampong stressed the need for presbyters to be filled with the Holy Spirit to help them to be effective in their service to the Lord.
Quoting from Acts 6:1-6, Prophet Amaniampong explained that if it was necessary for people who were supposed to take care of food in the early Church to be filled with the Holy Spirit, then it is more than necessary for ministers and officers today to be filled with the Holy Spirit in this contemporary era.
He encouraged officers of the Church to embark on regular visitation to their members to facilitate the growth of the Church.
Prophet Amaniampong also shared with the participants some best practices that local assemblies in the Area could adopt to make them more attractive and welcoming to both new converts and existing members.
He encouraged all officers to keep labouring for God as great rewards awaits them. He shared some of his experiences in ministry with them and entreated them to stand firm in their service to the Lord.
The meeting was attended by all ministers in the Area and their wives, as well as officers, numbering over 2000.
