The General Headquarters of The Church of Pentecost has donated an amount of GH¢ 20,000 to the Kibi School for the Deaf in the Eastern Region.

The cheque was presented to the school on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, by Pastor Evans Annaba Mensah, the Suhum Area Secretary, on behalf of the leadership of the Church.

The East Akim Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Elizabeth Amankwah, who received the donation on behalf of the management of the school, expressed her sincere gratitude to the Church for the timely gesture.

Present at the ceremony were: Mr. Cephas Kuma (Headmaster of the school), Mrs. Hilda Amegatcher (Second Cycle Schools Coordinator for the Municipality), Mr. Andrews Ampem Darko (Municipal Guidance and Counselling Coordinator) and Mr. Bernard Ghansah Aboadey (Special Education Coordinator for the Municipality).

The Church of Pentecost believes that the acquisition of knowledge and skills based on Christian principles is the surest way of unearthing God-given talents for responsible and productive citizens. The Church also holds the philosophy that poverty should not be a barrier to acquiring the right education and skills development for sustainable livelihood.

As part of the Church’s social services, it awards scholarship to brilliant and needy students to realize their dreams in attaining quality education to the highest level.
