The North Kaneshie Central Assembly of The Church of Pentecost, on Saturday, 28th April, 2018, organised a health insurance registration and renewal exercise for members of the Church in the district and the people in the catchment community.
The exercise, which was in fulfillment of the Church’s social responsibility to the community, was highly patronized by both members and non-members. In all, more than 300 people took part it. Among the patrons were the District Minister, Pastor Franklin Agbovi-Hushie and his family.
It was carried out by the staff of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) from the Adabraka office who brought their biometric machines to the church premise.
The Presiding Elder, Humphrey Ntow-Djan, stated: “The gesture was our way of telling them that we are concerned about their health and we care for them, as a church.
“We can say for a fact that everybody was excited, the reason being that both the registration and renewal were instant; the NHIS cards were issued instantly.”
