Job, a biblical giant of faith, provides valuable lessons for the Church and believers on what it means to be unleashed. His life and character received special commendation from God (Job 1:8), and he is listed as one of three righteous men (Ezekiel 14:14). Job’s reflections on his former life offer blueprints for the Church to emulate and transform our spheres.

The term “unleashed” refers to releasing the tremendous power locked in the Church for societal transformation. Vision 2028 aims to strategically unleash the Church’s vast potential to transform the world with kingdom values and bring people to Christ.

Job’s life was marked by a deep personal relationship with God, which guided his household and endeavours. He lived with a consciousness of God’s presence, saying, “God watched over me”… “His lamp shone upon my head”… “the friendly counsel of God was over my tent”… “the Almighty was yet with me” (Job 29:2-5). This vertical relationship influenced his horizontal dealings, leading him to purify his children and acknowledge God as the source of his success.

Job’s influence extended beyond his household to the city gate, where he served as a magistrate, liberating the vulnerable and upholding righteousness. He didn’t remain in the comfort of his splendour but went where action was needed. His life teaches us to carry our sacred lives into secular spaces, transforming societies with kingdom values.

The Church unleashed will bring praise to God through impactful ministry interventions. Job’s service led to praise, as people acknowledged God’s presence in his life. As salt of the earth, light of the world, and a city on a hill, our involvement and good works should cause people to praise God.

Job’s strength came from his connection to God, likened to a tree planted by water, with roots reaching deep and branches refreshed with dew (Job 29:19). The Church needs this refreshment, staying connected to Christ through trust, obedience, and abiding in Him.

The glory of the Church unleashed remains fresh, symbolizing its divine and inexhaustible source. A Church without glory is dead, disconnected from the source of life. As we unleash our potential, we’ll command respect, transforming societies and fulfilling the Great Commission.

The call to unleash the Church’s vast potential is an imperative for every officer and member. Let’s scatter to gather, making disciples of all nations, so that the image of Jesus is seen everywhere. As we unleash the Church, we’ll transform our spheres, bringing hope to the hopeless and glory to God.
