The Nhyiaeso Assembly in the Mile 3 District of The Church of Pentecost has refurbished and rededicated its church building at a total cost of GHS 658,188.00.
The upgraded edifice now boasts a large auditorium with a seating capacity of 1,500, a children’s auditorium, offices, state-of-the-art equipment, and modern washroom facilities.
The rededication ceremony took place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, officiated by Prophet Samuel Tetteh Doku, the New Tafo Area Head, with assistance from Pastor Joseph Ankomako, the District Minister, and other ministers in the Area.
Speaking on the topic, “For the Lord, Unto the Lord, In the Name of the Lord,” Pastor Isaac Fordjour of Ashtown District referenced 1 Kings 8:17-18, emphasising the importance of having a temple for congregational worship. He highlighted that efforts for the Lord lead to blessings, citing Luke 7:5.
Elder Samuel Kwaku Adom, the Local Secretary, provided a brief history about the project, stating, “The building, which was first dedicated on February 25, 2001, needed to undergo major structural engineering to accommodate the growing membership.”
The refurbishment was funded through Area grants, Local funds, and individual donations, with Elder Eric Oteng Twum, the Presiding Elder, making a significant contribution of GHS 93,181.00.
In a twist of events, Brother Stephen Anokye Sarfo, the Local Estate Committee Chairman, was ordained as an Elder in recognition of his unwavering dedication and commitment.
