Apostle Dr. Alfred Koduah (Rtd.), a former General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, has advised believers not to entertain divisions of any kind in the Church, stressing that believers are all one in Christ.

Apostle Dr. Alfred Koduah gave this advice yesterday while preaching on the topic “The Characteristics of the Church Unleashed” during Day 1 of the Kaneshie Area Officers Retreat (Apostolisation) at the Kaneshie Central Assembly church auditorium.

In his presentation, he bemoaned the divisions that are sometimes observed in the church, especially along ethnic (tribal) lines. He warned that the church must not entertain such divisions but should always see themselves as one in Christ.

He stated that a key characteristic of the Church unleashed is unity. Hence, church leaders and members must promote unity among the brethren.

Reading from Galatians 3:28, he explained that in the New Testament church, there are no “Jews and Gentiles” because they have all become one in Christ.

“There is no division in the New Testament church because we are saved by the same blood of Jesus Christ and have the same Spirit within us. In the New Testament church, no one is inferior; we are all valuable to the Lord,” he said.

He noted that as soon as one comes to faith in Christ, regardless of their background, the person becomes a legitimate child of the kingdom of God.

Apostle Dr. Koduah also highlighted another characteristic of the Church Unleashed, which is that its members translate religiosity into morality.

He, therefore, advised believers, particularly members of the Church, to strive to uphold Christian virtues taught in the church in every sphere of their lives.

“This is the only way we can be more influential and impactful in society,” he said.
