About 300,000 persons joined The Church of Pentecost in 2022 through various evangelistic outreaches undertaken by the Church throughout the country.

In fulfilment of the divine mandate bestowed upon the Church by Christ, The Church of Pentecost embarked on 298,936 evangelistic outreaches across Ghana in 2022.

As a result of these outreaches, a total of 288,248 souls were won for the Lord through the efforts of church members. 209,283 of the souls were baptised in water, representing 72.6% of the total number won.

Among the various evangelistic strategies adopted nationwide were monthly classes, crusades, rallies, Gospel Sundays, house-to-house visits, event outreaches, specialised ministries (Muslims, sports, Rastafarians, hospitals, Persons with Disabilities, commercial sex workers, and prisons), and social interventions.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost and President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Apostle Eric Nyamekye, during the opening session of the 46th General Council Meetings at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) at Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa in the Central Region, on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

Delivering the State-of-the-Church address, Apostle Nyamekye noted that Gospel Sunday services resulted in 97,774 souls won, 25,600 were from Home and Urban Missions outreaches, and 4,069 from Ministry to Persons with Disabilities.

He emphasised that the commitment of church members to the cause of the Gospel was the reason for the successes the Church has chalked.

“The Church’s commitment to spreading the Gospel has been the driving force behind these impressive numbers,” he said.

He also commended the Evangelism Ministry, led by Apostle Dr Amos Jimmy Markin, for their significant contribution to achieving the feat accomplished in the previous year.
