Twenty-six individuals received Holy Spirit baptism with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues during the Resurrection Sunday Service of the Mankessim District of The Church of Pentecost last Sunday.

The event, which recorded an attendance of 1,056, comprising 657 adults and 399 children, witnessed a mighty revival among the enthusiastic crowd of church members and other non-members.

During the service, the District Minister, Pastor Benjamin Gyamfi, spoke on the topic: “The Significance of Jesus’ Resurrection,” using Romans 4:25 as his foundational text.

In his sermon, he explained that the death of Jesus was a profound act of sacrificial love which God demonstrated to all humankind.

He said that Jesus died to pay for the sins of humanity and triumphantly rose from death to life for their justification.

Pastor Gyamfi, therefore, implored believers to meditate deeply on the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus Christ and to lead a sinless life, which is the very essence of spiritual purity.
