The outgoing Area Head of the Teshie-Nungua Area of The Church of Pentecost, Prophet James Osei Amaniampong, has admonished Christians to be steadfast and immoveable in the things of God since their labour in the Lord will not be in vain.

“Suffering can come upon a servant or a child of God while serving diligently, but know that the Lord will deliver you, and that your labour will definitely not be in vain,” he said.

Prophet Amaniampong was speaking at the maiden edition of the monthly Area Friday Prayer Meeting on May 25, 2018 at the 10,000-seater Fred Stephen Safo Memorial Temple, located at Nungua Nshorna.

Speaking on the theme, “Elijah Was A Man Like Us” taken from James 5:16-18, he told the congregation not to allow life challenges to prevent them from focusing on God.

Using Elisha, who received the double portion of Elijah’s anointing as an example, Prophet Amaniampong prayed the heavens to open to all who have helped his ministry for the past five years in the Area, as he leaves for Asokwa Area in Kumasi.

“May the heavens open to you all,” he said, adding, “All those who have lived with us well, who have supported our ministry, have prayed for us and heeded to our instructions, may God rain fruitful blessings upon them and may heaven speak on your behalf.”

According Prophet Amaniampong, in Hebrews chapter 11 the Bible made mention of some names in the “hall of fame” who were appreciated. Taking a cue from that he decided to use the occasion to thank some individuals, groups and ministries in the Area for their sacrifices and support towards the work of God during his tenure, saying, “If we don’t stop doing good, God will reward us in due time.”

Prophet Amaniampong admonished the members to work for the bread of life that has eternal life which will not perish.

He also encouraged them to have the spirit of obedience and humility, while charging them to be prayerful. “Be obedient and any gift God has given you will explode. If you are obedient to any servant of God, anything that is dead in your life will rise again,” he said.

Intensive prayer session was led by Apostle John Osei Amaniampong, his twin brother.

Present at the prayer meeting were Apostles Professor Peter Kyei, Winneba Area Head and the pastorate and their wives in the Teshie-Nungua Area.
