The third day of the Annual Thanksgiving Service 2025 at the Jospong Group of Companies featured a deeply inspiring ministration as Rev. Eastwood Anaba, Founder of the Fountain Gate Chapel, preached on the overarching theme, “Celebrating the Faithfulness of God.”
Delivering a message titled, “You Are the Light of the World,” Rev. Anaba drew from Genesis 1:14–16 and 1 Corinthians 15:40–41 to emphasise the believer’s identity as a divine source of illumination in a darkened world.
Rev. Anaba noted that just as humanity trusts the natural rhythm of day and night—a system God established at creation—believers must also trust in the unwavering faithfulness of God. He explained that the consistency of morning and evening symbolises God’s dependable nature throughout life’s seasons.
He reminded the congregation that every Christian is ordained by God to bring light to their world, beginning from their homes and communities. According to him, any believer who enters a community becomes the light of that community, carrying both influence and responsibility.
Highlighting the impact of the Jospong Group, Rev. Anaba described the company as “a light to the nation and to the world,” stressing that the history of Ghana’s industrialisation cannot be written without mentioning the Jospong Group. He added that without the company’s contribution, the nation’s development efforts would be significantly hindered.
Touching on the faithfulness of God in creation, he explained that God made the stars, moon, and light—each with a unique glory and assignment. In the same way, he said, believers differ in purpose; therefore, comparing oneself with others or harbouring envy is unwise.
“We are all different, and God has given everyone their own brightness,” he stated.
Rev. Anaba also cautioned that even stars can lose their brightness, encouraging Christians not to take their calling or opportunities for granted. He added that being a light often attracts challenges but assured the congregation that they will always overcome.
Referencing John 1:1–3, he emphasised that although darkness may attempt to fight the light, it will never overcome it. He urged believers not to rush into starting ministries or initiatives without grounding themselves in the true Source—God—warning that anyone who “founds without the Founder” is bound to struggle.
Concluding his message, Rev. Anaba declared that every believer is a sign and wonder to their family and generation, strategically placed by God to shine, influence, and transform the world around them.
