It was all joy at the Somanya District of The Church of Pentecost when the District’s Mission House was dedicated on Sunday, January 28, 2018, by the Agormanya Area Head, Apostle James Gabriel Quardson.

Present to assist the Area Head were the Somanya District Minister, Pastor J. P. Odonkor, and the Area pastorate and their wives. Also in attendance was the Paramount Chief (Konor) of Yilo Krobo Traditional Area, Nene Oklepeme Nuer Anobaah Sasraku II.

Pastor Samuel Kwesi Bonney of Agormanya District exhorted the congregation on the theme, “Do Not Miss Your Opportunity” taken from 2 Kings 4:8-15 and Galatians 6:10.

He pointed out that believers come face-to-face with many opportune times daily, however, the onus lies on them to take advantage of them. He stated that one of such opportune times came the way of the Shunammite woman when Prophet Elisha visited her at Shunam.

According to him, the woman saw the need to take advantage of the Prophet’s routine presence in her house to serve him and his servant Gehazi, little did she know that her services would cut short her many years of childlessness.

”Whoever has a good heart for God’s people and His work receives the blessings of God,” he stressed.

The Area Head, Apostle J. G. Quardson, in leading the congregation through an intensive prayer, said: “to discern God’s given opportune times in life, believers ought to intimately walk with God.”

He prayed that the senses of the church would be opened to God’s leadings to be able to identify and maximize divine opportunities.

He commended the District Minister and the entire district for availing themselves to be used by God to build the manse within a period of 17months at a cost of GH¢192,952.
