The Pentecost Students and Associates of the Pentecost University College (PENSA-PUC) has donated educational materials to the Awadiwoe R/C Primary School, an island community in the Kpotame District in Sogakope Area of The Church of Pentecost.
The items, including slates, exercise books, pens, pencils, chalks, water container, and other stationeries, were donated to the school at a short ceremony on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Present were the Kpotame District Minister, Pastor Samuel Dogbe and Elder Seth Aziedife.
PENSA-PUC was in the district to do a follow-up on the souls won during an evangelism programme held in the community from June 12 to 17, 2018.
During the outreach, some of the students volunteered to do community service by teaching in the school during which they realized that some of the pupils lacked basic learning materials.
According to the President of PENSA-PUC, Elder Moses Ofori, they were touched by the plight of the pupils on their first visit and so they decided to mobilize some funds to get them the items.
The Head Teacher of the school, Mr. Simon Kumashie, on behalf of the staff and the pupils thanked the group for their kind gesture.
The PENSA group used the occasion to share the gospel with the pupils and also educated them on proper handwashing techniques.
