The New Tafo Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the headship of Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, has begun this year’s Lay Leadership Training School for all officers in the Area.

The training programme, which is being held concurrently in the four zones within the Area, is in two sessions: morning and evening with both English and Twi classes in each session.

The 5-day event, which started on Monday, August 6, 2018, is expected to end on Friday.

Opening the school at the New Tafo Zone on behalf of the Area Head who was also touring the other zones, the Resident Minister for New Tafo PIWC, Pastor Anthony Kwesi Mensah, welcomed all participants and entreated them to be punctual to class. He indicated that the programme is being held at the zonal level for proximity to ensure massive attendance. He, thus, admonished the participants to take this year’s school seriously.

Pastor Kwesi Mensah further called for their full patronage and participation in the school and urged them to implement what they would learn in their respective local assemblies to enhance the spiritual and physical growth of the Church.

Topics being treated in this year’s school include Baptism, Gifts and Fruit of The Holy Spirit, Creation Care, Effective Assimilation Structures, and Monitoring and Coaching The Next Generation.

The Lay Leadership Training School is an annual programme which seeks to equip the officers in the Church with the requisite knowledge, basic skills and principles to enable them to shepherd the flocks that have been entrusted to their care.
