The Executive Chairman of the Tobinco Group, Elder Nana Dr. Samuel Amo Tobbin, has donated 6,000,000 CFA-Francs to support the recently held “Togo for Christ” crusade.
This generous donation was announced by the Evangelism Ministry Director, Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, during the Wednesday morning session of the crusade at the CIAP-Yokoe auditorium in Adidogome, Togo on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
The event, which officially took place from Tuesday, July 16, to Saturday, July 20, 2024, included a medical screening exercise among other impactful activities. To the glory of God, the crusade resulted in 2,403 souls being led to Christ in the end.
Organising such a massive event required significant efforts to mobilise the necessary human resources and equipment. The Evangelism Ministry, for instance, dispatched a delegation from Ghana to assist with the successful execution of the crusade.
Several activities, including medical screenings, film evangelism, sports evangelism, and the preparation of the crusade grounds, demanded substantial financial resources.
Additionally, the transportation, accommodation, and feeding of the Gospel Heralds and the technical crew, most of whom were from Ghana, added to the financial strain.
Despite the substantial costs involved, the Church remains steadfast in its commitment to its mandate of preaching the gospel to all nations and leading many to Christ. It is worth mentioning that the International Missions Directorate of The Church of Pentecost spent a whooping $100,000 on the weeklong event.
Elder Dr. Tobbin’s generous donation will, therefore, significantly alleviate the financial burden associated with organising such a large-scale event, enabling the Church to continue to aggressively pursue its evangelistic mission.
